The service

Domain Aha helps you explore domain names, query public registration records through RDAP and request DNS details. Naming suggestions use local rules. Optional Domain Rating data is supplied by Ahrefs when that integration is configured. Domain Aha does not reserve, register or sell domains, and these domain tools do not accept payment.

Reading results

Registered means that the authoritative RDAP service returned a matching registration record. No record found means the queried service did not return that record; the name may still be reserved, restricted or subject to premium pricing. Unknown means the name is not yet checked or the result is unsupported, limited, timed out or otherwise inconclusive.

Registration records can be incomplete, redacted, cached or changed after a query. DNS records describe name resolution and do not determine whether a domain can be registered. An expiration date is not a promised release date. Confirm registration eligibility, actual prices and terms with your chosen registrar before acting.

Domain Rating is a separate backlink-strength metric, not a registration decision, Google score or purchase guarantee. It is subject to the Ahrefs Domain Rating License. This service does not provide traffic estimates or backlink counts.

Use and availability

Registration and DR requests each accept at most 20 domains per batch. The dedicated DR checker queries Ahrefs separately from RDAP and does not test whether a website is active. DR observations may be cached for up to 24 hours and show their original check time. A registered domain, a matching name and a DR score do not establish a business competitor or its traffic.

Use the tools within the displayed limits. Do not bypass rate limits, use the service for bulk harvesting, interfere with other visitors or attempt to access private systems. Public upstream services may reject requests, limit queries or be unavailable. Free access is limited by hosting and upstream capacity; no unlimited throughput or service-level commitment is offered.

Guides provide general educational information. Check current primary sources, registry requirements and relevant trademark records before committing to a name. The tools do not provide trademark clearance or a legal opinion.

Saved names and exports

The shortlist stays in this browser without an account, backup or cross-device synchronization. You can export, remove or clear names. Recheck saved names before registration. You remain responsible for exported copies; deleting a browser shortlist does not remove files already downloaded.

External services and updates

Registries, registrars, DNS services and Ahrefs control their own data and terms. The date on a guide identifies its editorial review, not a live check of every linked service. Product behavior and supported endings can change as public services change.
