About Domain Aha
Learn how Domain Aha helps founders research the same name across extensions, public registration records and available Ahrefs DR, with clear data limits.
A Practical Starting Point for Domain Research
Domain Aha helps founders, independent builders and researchers investigate a name across domain extensions. The core job is to turn a keyword or a short list into useful observations: which names have a public registration record, what details the source publishes, and what available Ahrefs DR may add to the investigation. It keeps the tool close to the question rather than hiding it below a registration sales funnel.
This is especially useful when a product idea appears under several endings, or when you already have domains worth comparing. A matching name is a research lead, not proof of a competing business. You still need to visit websites, understand their products and decide whether they matter to your audience.
What You Can Do Today
Search selected combinations in batches of up to 20 domains. Inspect public registration details through RDAP or registry WHOIS, request DNS information and compare available DR through the configured Ahrefs integration. Save a shortlist in your browser and export dated observations. A separate rule-based generator helps when you still need naming directions.
Domain Aha does not sell, register or reserve names. It does not currently provide traffic estimates, screenshots, detected technology stacks or automated website-activity checks. No record found is not a guarantee of registrability. The methodology explains how each source, status and check time should be read, including missing fields and upstream limits.
Use Evidence Before Making a Decision
Our guides connect common research questions to clear next steps and primary sources. Use them to compare extensions, read a registration record or understand a score without confusing it with traffic. Keep your own notes about business relevance separate from the underlying observations.
